My origami star by KADmariposa My origami star by KADmariposa
I came up with this about 6 or 7 years ago, when I got bored in geography class. This morning, I folded another one, taking digital pictures along the way, and put them together in photoshop elements. Very similar to the folding instructions I spent countless hours perfecting, only to have that moved to my scrap pile. *sigh* So here it is. Actual photos of actual origami made from actual origami paper, imported from Japan.

Here are the folding instructions, and the creasing pattern.

How DARE dA just move that without permission! Part of the reason I am about to shut this account down until things get put right.

ahh... I just chalk it up to not all the da people being on the same page about stuff. I put the links back to the files right here, and made edit notes on them. No biggie.

I asked help desk, and they told me one thing, but apparently the gallery director thought another, and took what s/he deemed appropriate action. So if any admin peeps see this, I'd like to make a reccomendation that when someone has a question about which gallery to submit stuff, there should be a better procedure. There should be some communication between help desk and gallery directors when such questions arise. The admin should be in some sort of aggreement before a response gets sent out.

Or better yet, it might not hurt to have an "other" sub category for certain types of submissions. Just require the deviant to specify what makes their piece fall under "other".

Origami should have sub-categories. There's basic photos of models, creasing patterns, tutorials with folding instructions, and art made out of models such as mobils and still shots with multiple models...

I think your advice would be good for them to follow...but I would not trust them at all for it. I think I'd rather use somewhere else.
